Men Alone In No-mans Land
Christy Fleming and Joe Murdoff, a founding member of MAIN Men Alone in no Mans Land completed an exciting four part tv series titled "Men in the Noughties". The series looks at mens issues and how men are coping in a changing society. It was produced by Dublin Community TV and presented by Christy its also the first MAIN production dedicated to mens health and wellbeing.

Christy Fleming currently resides in Bettystown, County Meath. He is a life Coach, author, reflexoligist, emotional freedom technique practitioner, motivator and TV presenter with a vast experience in the holistic field. He has facilitated personal development workshops since 1994, including creative writing, art, meditation and music. Some of these experiences have culminated in the recording of music on CD, DVD and radio drama and his work has been featured on both local and national radio and TV.
Christy co-ordinated and participated in personal development through music workshops in Ballymun which engaged men in a positive light and spearheaded a successful fundraising drive which financed the making and production of music discs on the Manzone label. The promotion of the Manzone CD and videos included a live TV appearance on Open House RTE television, TV3 Ireland AM, Nationwide and the late Gerry Ryan radio show and extensive write-ups in both national and local newspapers. He helped to institute the pioneering concept of men's development through the use of holistic therapies in men's health and wellbeing. He also featured in a documentary produced by RTE called "Sons of the Father"
Christy relocated to Bettystown, Co Meath and worked with the Simon Community Homeless Shelter, Dundalk. During this time he organised music art and holistic therapy workshops. He co-ordinated an ambitious musical project with residents, staff and volunteers which culminated in the recording and production on DVD/CD of a song written to promote the positive image of the shelter. He engaged the support of local musician Jim Corr from the Corr's rock band resulting in Jim making a large financial donation to the Simon Community, which financially secured the production of two thousand DVDs and CDs
2007 saw Christy co-ordinate a photographic exhibition and radio drama play about homelessness. This was a joint project between Dundalk Simon Community and Dundalk Media Centre and was launched in the Louth County Library on 17th October 2007-International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
After leaving the Simon Community in 2008 he worked on a number of projects which included a radio drama play with Springboard, a men's group based in Navan which was produced by LMFM radio and aired on Fathers Day. More recently he got involved with Men Alone In No-man's Land MAIN, a voluntary organisation in Dublin established to support marginalised men. MAIN produced four TV shows in conjunction with DCTV Dublin Community TV titled 'Men in the Noughties': the programmes were presented by him and discussed issues relevant to men in today's society
As a self published author he has written three anthologies of poetry his autobiography and his first play. He's a member of Toastmasters and is now embarking on a new career path as a public speaker so he can share his inspiring story with you, your group and organisation.
